Adding A Caricature Head To A Different BodyIn this tutorial, we'll show you how to create hilarious photos by inserting your head (or someone else's head) onto a different body using the chromakey function. "But what if I don't have any green screen photos" you may ask. No problem! We'll use the paint tool to isolate the head by simply painting around it, essentially giving us the same result of taking a photo against a green screen. The best part is, once you create your head image you can save it and insert it into any background or onto any photo you wish! You can use this function with our templates, or with celebrity photos. It's easy! So let's get started.1. Open the photo of your subject. In this example we'll use Grandma and Grandpa. Let's imagine we're creating a custom invitation for a 50th anniversary party. We want something funny and memorable. ![]() 2. Create transparency. Since we're using the chromakey function with a photo that was not taken against a green screen, we need to isolate the head areas by painting around them with the paintbrush tool. We've selected a bright green color because chromakey works best with background colors that are as far as possible away from natural skin tones. This is the same reason chromakey backdrop screens are green, thus the term "green screen." Use the zoom function and choose a smaller brush tip to paint around the head for the best accuracy, then use a larger brush tip to finish the outer areas. ![]() 3. Crop the heads. Next we'll crop each head and save as an individual graphic. Because there are 2 subjects in the photo, we want to be able to position each independently on the background image.
![]() 4. Insert background. Using the chromakey function, we'll select the desired novelty background and insert the first image.
5. Insert next image. Once the first head is inserted, we'll save the merged image. Then, we'll open the second head image and choose the chromakey tool again. When propmpted to choose the background image, we'll choose the merged image file we just saved.
There you have it! Remember that you can resize, position and rotate the head images to best match the background image. You can also apply caricature effects! And as we mentioned earlier, you can now use your head images to insert them into any photo. Celebrity photos are fun! ![]() ![]() Novelty Templates We've got an archive of hilarious scenarios for your caricatures.
